NHS hearing aid batteries and Support Service
If you have a NHS hearing aid, you can get free replacement batteries from Thurrock libraries.
To get free replacement NHS hearing aid batteries:
- take your NHS hearing aid battery card to one of the libraries listed below – you must bring your card each time you come for batteries
- you will be given 2 packs of replacement batteries
- you can hand-in your old batteries at the library for disposal, if you wish

- Belhus library
- Blackshots library
- Chadwell library
- Corringham library
- East Tilbury library
- Grays library
- Stanford-Le-Hope Library
- Tilbury library
NHS Hearing Aid Support Service
There are also support sessions available in some libraries.
Volunteers assist with essential re-tubing, cleaning and general hearing aid maintenance.
To attend, booking is essential and pre-registration is required before you can book.
