Birth registration

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – registering a birth

From 13 July 2020, Thurrock Register Office is accepting new appointments for birth registration.

If your baby was born in Thurrock, phone 01375 372 822 to make an appointment. If your baby was born in Basildon Hospital or any other district, you should contact the register office for that area to avoid further delay and to purchase certificates straight away.

You must not come to the Register Office if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). All visitors must follow government social distancing guidance and safety requests from staff.
