Cycle safety

Cycle training

Support is available to help residents of all ages learn to cycle and improve their skills.

We use the GOV.UK: national standard for cycle training, which covers the skills and understanding needed to cycle safely and responsibly. We encourage cycling as an everyday activity, a healthy mode of transport and above all lots of fun.

Cycling lessons at school

All schools in Thurrock can book Bikeability lessons for pupils in year 4, year 6 and year 7. These take place during school hours

Go to Bikeability to find out more about 'cycling proficiency' for the 21st century.
