Thurrock has several groups that meet to represent the interests of adult social care service users.
Thurrock Partnership Board
Thurrock Partnership Board makes sure everyone, including the council, health and local organisations and groups work together on important matters that affects carers or people with all types of impairments. The Partnership Board helps co-produce policy, services and practice within Thurrock.
The Partnership Board meets 4 times a year but will hold regular engagement events and undertake projects specific relating to services or impairments throughout the year.
Thurrock Mental Health Transformation Board
Oversees the strategic direction and delivery of mental health services in Thurrock, guided by a Human Learning Systems approach. It brings together key partners, stakeholders, and individuals with lived experience to collaboratively implement and monitor the local and regional mental health strategies. The Board ensures accountability, manages risks, and reports to the Better Care Together Thurrock Executive.
Dementia Working Group
Drives integrated strategic planning and delivery of dementia-related initiatives across Thurrock. It serves as a collaborative forum for resolving issues, sharing updates, assigning actions, and holding partners accountable to ensure meaningful progress. The group works in partnership to improve outcomes for people affected by dementia through coordinated, person-centred approaches.
