NOTICE October 2025: Anchor Fields, Tilbury- Relocation of Multi-Use Game Area (MUGA)
MUGA – Anchor Fields, Tilbury
From Monday 13 October to Friday 14 November 2025, the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at Anchor Fields will be closed while it is moved to a new location in the park.
This work is taking place to make space for the exciting new Youth Zone development. The Youth Zone will provide:
- A safe, welcoming space for young people
- Modern facilities for sports, arts, and learning
- Opportunities for skills development and social activities
- A hub to support the health and wellbeing of local young people
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The contractors will aim to finish the work as quickly as possible so the MUGA can be used again soon.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. We believe a little short-term disruption will help us deliver fantastic long-term improvements for the whole community.
What will projects do?
Car Park and Park improvement projects will be a part of the Tilbury Towns Fund theme, in improving the ‘Heart’ Civic Square. The improvement works to Anchors Field will create better opportunities for local groups to meet and interact prioritising socialising and fitness
Where are we now?
- Relocation of MUGA on Anchor Fields – Quotation has been received and currently being reviewed. Procurement route currently being discussed.
- Proposal to renew the existing play equipment at Anchor Fields
