Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Wood View Footpath - Grays
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any pedestrians from travelling along a section of Footpath on Wood View from the entrance to the Garage forcourt for a distance of approx 20m. in a north easterly direction.
2) The purpose of the Order is to enable ESP Electricity to install electric charging stations in the garage forcourt.
3) The alternative route for northeast bound travel is Wood View southeast bound, King Edward Drive, Bridleway Stanford Road to King Edward Drive, Stanford Road footpath southbound. and vice versa for southwest bound travel.
4) The Order will come into force on the 9th July 2025 at 08:00hrs. Works are currently scheduled to take place daily but the order will be in force continously between 9th July 2025 and 22nd July 2025 until 18:00hrs on 22nd July 2025. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=144043566 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner
6) If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
