Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

Station Road - East Tilbury

1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:

- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Station Road between its junctions with Love Lane and Low Street Lane. Prohibit any vehicle from parking At Any Time during the times of the Order along Station Road between its junctions with Love Lane and Low Street Lane.

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out creating a new entrance to the old farm buildings.

3) The alternative route for eastbound vehicles is Church Road, Cooper Shaw Road, Fort Road, Access Road Windrush Way, Ferry Road, St Andrews Road, A1089, exit off slip A1089 To Marshfoot Road Roundabout Northbound, Marshfoot Road Roundabout, Marshfoot Road, Gateway Academy Roundabout Marshfoot Road, Chadwell Bypass, Chadwell Hill, Linford Road, Muckingford Road, Princess Margaret Road, and Station Road and vice versa for westbound vehicles. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses at all times.

4) The Order will come into force on the 18th August 2025 at 10:00hrs. Works are currently scheduled to take place daily starting at 10:00hrs on the first day and then the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 between 19th August 2025 and 22nd August 2025. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=144832633 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
