Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

On-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended)

South Ockendon No.1

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 24th July 2025, the order will come in to force on the 21st  August 2025.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-

Tamarisk Road
i.    On the southern side of Tamarisk Road from a point 15m from the junction with Orchard Road as a continuation of the existing double yellow line in an easterly direction for a distance of 74.5m.
ii.    On the southern side of Tamarisk Road from a point 88m from the junction with Orchard Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 3m.

Cample Lane
i.    At the junction of Cample Lane outside Nos. 7/9 and 31/33 Cample Lane for a distance of 15m.
ii.    On the western side of Cample Lane from the southern property wall of 24 Cample Lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 37.5m.
iii.    On the southern side of Cample Lane outside the gated entrance of Helford Court in a westerly direction for a distance of 5.5m. 

Stifford Road/Cruick Avenue
i.    On the northern side of Stifford Road from the boundary of 113 Stifford Road following the kerb line in a westerly then northerly direction into Cruick Avenue for a distance of 28m. 

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively they can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm), by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
