Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Public Footpath Stanford Rd To King St (Footpath 36), Stanford Le Hope
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any pedestrians from travelling along Public Footpath Stanford Road To King Street, between its junctions with Victoria Road and Stanford Road.
2) The purpose of the Order is for reasons of safety.
3) The alternative route for westbound travel will be southbound on Victoria Road, westbound on London Road and northbound on Stanford Road and vice versa for eastbound vehicles.
4) The Order will come into force on the 4th July 2025 at 00:01hrs. The closure is scheduled to stay in place for the full six months of this Order. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=144046041 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5) The Order will come into force on the 4th July 2025 at 00:01hrs and remain in force continuously 4th January 2026 at 23:59hrs. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=144046041. It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner
7) If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
