Section 23, Establishment of Parallel Pedestrian and Cycle Crossings
PROVISION OF A ZEBRA CROSSING ON A126, WHITEHALL LANE, GRAYS
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock gives notice that under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, it is considering a proposal to install a Zebra Crossing in the position specified below:
a. On Whitehall Lane, Grays, approximately 30m north of Gipsy Lane and Whitehall Lane junction.
2) The Zebra Crossing would cover the full width of the road from kerb to kerb
3) Copies of the plans detailing the proposal can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via TransportDelivery@thurrock.gov.uk. Any person wishing to comment on the proposals should do so in writing to the address above or by e-mail to Transport.consult@thurrock.gov.uk by no later than 9th October 2025.
