Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
London Road, West Thurrock
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to;
- Revoke the existing Prohibition of Driving “Prohibited Access Good Vehicles Exceeding 7.5t Except for loading” on the lengths of road specified below: -
- London Road, from Motherwell Way to West Thurrock Way.
- Introduce a new Prohibition of Driving “Prohibited Access Good Vehicles Exceeding 7.5t Except for loading” on the lengths of road specified below: -
- London Road, from Motherwell Way to a point 30m east of the western kerb line of Elm Terrace
- Access Road for 3 to 6 The Bungalows
- Elm Terrace
- Essex Road
- Fifth Avenue
- First Avenue
- Flint Street
- Fourth Avenue
- Fox Field Close
- Hillcrest Avenue
- Hilltop Road
- Jubilee Road
- Park Avenue
- Sartoria Close
- Schoolfield Road
- Schoolfield Way
- Second Avenue
- St Clements Avenue
- The Rookery
- Third Avenue
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 22nd May 2025. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
