1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of which is to:

- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Fen Lane from its junction with Harrow Lane for a distance of approx 278m in a westerly direction.

- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Dunnings Lane from its junction with Fen Lane for a distance of approx 20m in a northerly direction.

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out haunching and carriageway resurfacing.

3) The alternative route for westbound vehicles on Fen Lane will be Fen Lane eastbound, Church Road, Bulphan Bypass (A128), Brentwood Road(A128), Tilbury Road(A128), Station Road, St Mary's Lane, Clay Tye Road, Ockendon Road and Fen Lane and vice versa for eastbound vehicles. The alternative route for southbound travel on Dunnings Lane into Fen Lane will be northbound on Dunnings Lane and then join the main diversion either eastbound or westbound. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses at all times.

4) The Order will come into force on the 1st December 2025 at 08:00hr and remaiin in force continuously until 5th December 2025 at 17:00hrs. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=GB146727662 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
