Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Dock Road, Tilbury
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect ofwhich is to: -
- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Dock Road between its roundabouts at Thurrock Park Way and Amazon roundabout.
2) The purpose of the Order is to enable National Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing on Thurrock Park Way roundabout.
3) The alternative route for northbound vehicles is Dock Road, Calcutta Road, St Chads Road, Feenan Highway, Gateway Academy Roundabout St Chads Road, St Chads Road Roundabout, Marshfoot Road, Marshfoot Road Roundabout, A1089 and vice versa for southbound vehicles. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses at all times.
4) The Order will come into force on the 26th March 2026 at 21:00hrs. Works are currentlyscheduled to take place nightly between 26th March 2026 and 2nd April 2026 between the hours of 21:00 and 04:00. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=GB148981369 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance withThe Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Orderwill continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have beencompleted, whichever is the sooner
6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
