Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

On-street Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order 2005 (as amended)

Clockhouse Lane, North Stifford - (Disabled Badge Holders Parking Bay)

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 19th November 2025, the order will come in to force on the 18th December 2025.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a Disabled Badge Holders Parking Bay at the following locations:

      1. On the eastern side of Clockhouse Lane outside 25 Clockhouse Lane, North Stifford in a southerly direction along the kerb line for a distance of approx. 6.6m. 

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652. 

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
