Titles from Dav Pilkey were a favourite with children and young people in the borough, with five of his books making the top ten including Dog Man: Grime and Punishment and Cat Kid Comic Club.

"I am pleased to see Bluey make an appearance on the list knowing how beloved the character is to my grandchildren and other children across the borough. It looks like there are plenty of other books that we can take out and read together when I bring them down to visit one of our libraries.

"Our libraries are community hubs, helping to make sure that the joys of reading are accessible to all of the people in Thurrock. If you have a book you're desperate to read, I would really recommend taking a look at our library catalogue to discover just how many books are available to reserve."
