Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Stanford East and Corringham Town

1) Notice is is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 28 November 2019, the order will come in to force on 13 January 2020.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

a) the junction of Priory Road and Markhams
b) the southern side of Priory Road, from the west flank wall of 54 eastward to a point 10m south of Markhams southern kerb line
c) the north-western side of Markhams, from a point 5m northeast of the eastern flank wall of 31 Markhams north-eastward to the common boundary of 38 and 40 Markhams including the turning head
d) the western junction of Priory Road and Monks Haven 15m in all directions
e) Monks Haven southwest side, from a point 15m north of Priory Road northern kerb line to a point 15m south of Priory Road southern kerb line, western junction
f) the junction of Monks Haven and Cedars
g) the eastern side of Monks Haven, from a point 10m north of Cedars northern kerb line to a point 10m south of Cedars southern kerb line
h) the junction of Monks Haven and Cloisters
i) the north-eastern side Monks Haven, from the southern flank wall of no 39 Monks Haven eastward to a point 10m east of the Cloisters eastern kerb line
j) the junction of Monks Haven and Hearsall Avenue
k) the southern side of Monks Haven, from a point 10m west of Hearsall Avenue western kerb line to a point 10m east of Hearsall Avenue eastern kerb line
l) the junction of Monks Haven and Sanctuary Garden
m) the northern side of Monks Haven, from a point 10m west of Sanctuary Garden western kerb line to a point 10m east of Sanctuary Garden eastern kerb line
n) the junction of Monks Haven and Canon Close
o) the north-western side of Monks Haven, a point 10m west of Canon Close western kerb line to a point 10m east of Canon Close eastern kerb line
p) the junction of Hearsall Avenue and Coombe Rise
q) the eastern side of Hearsall Avenue, from a point 10m north of Coombe Rise northern kerb line to a point 10m south of Coombe Rise southern kerb line
r) the junction of Hearsall Avenue and Capel Close
s) the northern side of Hearsall Avenue, from a point 10m west of Capel Close western kerb line to a point 10m east of Capel Close eastern kerb line

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans will be available for inspection at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
