Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Various restrictions

Lansdowne Road and The Circle, Tilbury

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to introduce new limited waiting bays "Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 30 minutes stay, no return within 2 hours" at the following the locations:

i. on the western side of Lansdowne Road from a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of Calcutta Road junction in a northeast direction to a point 33m north of Calcutta Road northern kerbline
ii. on the southern side of Lansdowne Road from a point 29.6m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne Court to a point 72.5m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne court
iii. on the southern side of Lansdowne Road from a point 8.3m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne Court to a point 27.4m east of the western flank wall of Lansdowne court

b) to revoke the limited waiting bays "Mon-Fri 8.30am-9.30am and 2.30pm-3.30pm 30 minutes stay, no return within 2 hours" at the following the locations:

i. on the western side of Lansdowne Road from a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of Calcutta Road junction in a northeast direction to a point 33m north of Calcutta Road northern kerbline
ii. on the southern side of Lansdowne Road from a point 29.6m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne Court to a point 72.5m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne court
iii. on the southern side of Lansdowne Road from a point 8.3m west of the western flank wall of Lansdowne Court to a point 27.4m east of the western flank wall of Lansdowne court

c) to revoke No waiting restrictions "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following the locations:

i. on the southern side of The Circle from a point 1m east of the eastern kerbline of Toronto Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 5.5m
ii. on the south-western side of The Circle from a point 1m west of the western Kerbline of Toronto Road in a westerly direction to a point 1m south of the southern kerbline of Hobart Road
iii. on the western side of The Circle from a point 1m north of the northern kerbline of Hobart Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 5.5m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 49 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to the address in paragraph (3) or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 19 March 2020. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
