Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Cement Block Cottages and Towers Road, Little Thurrock, Grays

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 20 February 2020, the order will come in to force on 23 March 2020.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to introduce new waiting restrictions "No Waiting at Any Time" at the following locations:

i) on the eastern side of Rectory Road, from a point 1m north of the northern flank wall of 37 Rectory Road in a southerly direction to its junction with Lander Road
ii) on the western side of Rectory Road, from a point 1m north of the northern flank wall of 37 Rectory Road in a southerly direction to its junction with Towers Road
iii) on the western side of Rectory Road, from the common boundary wall of 60 & 62 Rectory Road in a northerly direction to its junction with Towers Road.
iv) on the southern side of Towers Road, from the western kerb line of Rectory Road for a distance of 34m in a westerly direction
v) on the southern side of Towers Road, from a point 94m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road for distance of 28m in a westerly direction
vi) on both sides of Towers Road, from a point 150m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road for a distance of 35m in a westerly direction
vii) on both sides of Towers Road, from a point 231m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road for a distance of 72.5m in a westerly direction
viii) on the northern side of Towers Road, from a point 185m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road in a westerly direction to a point 231m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road
ix) on both sides of Cement Block Cottages, from its junction with Towers Road for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction
x) on the eastern side of Cement Block Cottages, from its junction with Broadway in a northerly direction to a point 15m south of the southern flank wall of 1 Cement Block Cottages
xi) on the western side of Cement Block Cottages, from its junction with Broadway in a northerly direction to a point 3m south of the southern flank wall of 1 Cement Block Cottages
xii) on the northern side of Broadway, from the western kerb line of Cement Block Cottages for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction
xiii) on the northern side of Broadway, from the eastern kerb line of Cement Block Cottages for a distance of 10m in a easterly direction
xiv) on the southern side of the Broadway, from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Cement Block cottages in a westerly direction to its junction with Bond Street
xv) on the southern side of the Broadway, from the western kerb line of Bond Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 5m
xvi) on the eastern side of Bond Street, from the southern kerb line of Broadway in a southerly direction for a distance of 9m south
xvii) on the western side of Bond Street, from the southern kerb line of Broadway in a southerly direction for a distance of 2m south

b) To revoke a waiting restriction "No waiting At Any Time" at the following location:

i) on the northern side of Tower Road, from a point 12m west of the western kerb line of Rectory Road for a distance of 10.5m in a westerly direction

c) To revoke a waiting restriction "No waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm" at the following locations:

i) on the eastern side of Cement Block Cottages, from its junction with Broadway in a northerly direction to a point 15m south of the southern flank wall of 1 Cement Block Cottages
ii) on the western side of Cement Block Cottages, from its junction with Broadway in a northerly direction to a point 18m south of the southern flank wall of 1 Cement Block Cottages
iii) on the northern side of Broadway, from the western kerb line of Cement Block Cottages for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction
iv) on the northern side of Broadway, from the eastern kerb line of Cement Block Cottages for a distance of 10m in a easterly direction
v) on the southern side of the Broadway, from a point 10m east of the eastern kerb line of Cement Block cottages in a westerly direction to its junction with Bond Street
vi) on the southern side of the Broadway, from the western kerb line of Bond Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 5m.
vii) on the eastern side of Bond Street, from the southern kerb line of Broadway in a southerly direction for a distance of 9m south
viii) on the western side of Bond Street, from the southern kerb line of Broadway in a southerly direction for a distance of 2m south

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
