Parking permits

Contractors who need to park within controlled parking zones or permit parking areas while working on contracts with Thurrock Council, may be eligible for a contractor parking permit.

This permit allows contractors to park their vehicle for up to 3 hours in a permit holders only bay within the zone or area. They can also park for up to 3 hours in a shared use parking bay – this is a bay that can be used by parking permit holders and motorists who display a valid pay-and-display ticket.

This permit does not give the right to park in any parking place, and cannot be used to park on single or double yellow lines within the zone or area.

Contractor parking permits are issued for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year They are valid only for the duration of the contract and must not be used for any purpose other than while work on contracts with Thurrock Council.

Use our online My Account service to apply for a contractor parking permit below. You can register to create a new account if you don't already have one.

My Account – parking permits

When you login, you will be shown:

• Permits – a list of your electronic permits and their current status (older paper permits are not listed)
• Permit Applications Available – a list of the types of parking permit for which you can apply.

Under 'Permit Applications Available', go to the 'Contractor Parking Permit' option and use its 'Apply' button.

In your application, you must provide your:

• current contract number
• vehicle registration document or lease agreement
