Timetable from March 2020 – the centre is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 5pm, and on Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Mondays

9:15am to 10:15am Stay and play – little ones For ages 12 months to 24 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. All welcome.
9:30am to 11:30am Child health clinic, baby weighing At Tilbury Health Centre, London Road, Tilbury, RM18 8EB. All welcome.
9:30am to 11:30am Domestic abuse and violence support Call 07875 342 015 to book in advance.
10am to midday St Mungo's floating support service St Mungo's helps people recover from the issues that create homelessness, such as rent arrears, debt and benefits, and support families with employment and education. Book in advance.
10am to 4pm Inspire Thurrock Careers For people aged 16 and over who need help getting a job, apprenticeship, training, college course or volunteering. All welcome.
10:30am to midday Stay and play – play2gether plus For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. All welcome.
12:30pm to 4:30pm New born screenings For ages 5 days to 8 days. A weight and blood spot (heel prick) test of your newborn baby. Book in advance.
12:30pm to 5pm 1 year-olds health checks At age 12 months. Book in advance.
1:45pm to 2:45pm Let's talk with your baby For ages 0 to 12 months. A 4-week course that supports your child's communication and language skills. It includes advice and strategies you can use in the home. Book in advance.

Tuesdays

9am to midday Language-focused play therapy For ages 24 months to 60 months. By referral only.
9am to 5pm Midwife appointments Pre-natal checks, advice and support for you and your baby. Book in advance.
9:15am to 10:15am Play and learn No session 3, 10 March. For ages 24 months to 60 months. A 4-week programme for families to support their child’s learning through play. The sessions will also provide you with ideas on how to support your child’s learning at home. Book in advance.
9:30am to 1pm 2 year-olds' health checks At age 24 months. Book in advance.
10am to 12:30pm Empowering parents, empowering communities For parents and carers who have children aged 2 to 11 years. Fun activities for you and your baby. This parenting group is provided by parents for parents. Parents will learn how to use a range of parenting skills, understand their children's feelings and develop a closer parent-child relationship. Book in advance.

Wednesdays

9:15am to 10am Gardening group For ages 18 months to 60 months. All welcome.
9:30am to 11am Speech and language drop-in Third Wednesday of the month. For ages 18 months to 60 months. Speech and language therapists will be available to provide advice and support to families who feel their child might be experiencing some delay in their speech and language development. All welcome.
9:30am to 12:30pm MIND counselling service Counselling services are available to make sure no-one has to face a mental health problem alone. Call 01375 391 411 to book in advance.
10am to 11am Stay and play – play babies For ages 0 to 12 months. Fun activities for you and your baby. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. All welcome.
1pm to 2:30pm Chatterbox For ages 24 months to 36 months. This is a structured language group running for 6 to 8 weeks providing support, advice and guidance to help your child develop their communications skills. By referral only.
2pm to 5pm Stop smoking Thurrock Healthy Lifestyle Service. Call 0800 292 2299 to book in advance.
3pm to 5pm Immunisations 18 March. To book in advance, phone 01375 364 663.

Thursdays

Fridays

9am to 4pm Jobcentre Plus For families that have children from ages 0 to 12 months. Book in advance.
9:15am to 10:15am Bookstart corner For ages 12 months to 30 months. A Booktrust 4-week programme to support families to develop a love of stories, books and rhymes to help their children's early reading skills. Book in advance.
9:30am to midday Infant feeding support Support sessions for you to discuss any matters relating to feeding your baby, such as breast feeding, formula feeding and introducing solid foods. All welcome.
9:30am to midday New born screenings For ages 5 days to 8 days. A weight and blood spot (heel prick) test of your newborn baby. Book in advance.
11am to midday Baby massage For ages 0 to 12 months. The baby massage course offers a wonderful opportunity for you to bond and learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Book in advance. £12 for 5 sessions.
1:30pm to 2:30pm Young parents group 13, 27 March. All welcome.
1:45pm to 2:45pm Stay and play – play2gether plus For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. All welcome.
2:30pm to 4pm Little Urchins photographer 20 March. Little Urchins photographer will be at the centre, taking photos of your children. Orders taken, cost will apply. All welcome.
